My experience and history in horse
training began with an intense love
of horses as a small child. Over the
years I grew that love in to
Sturgell's
Equestrian/Training Center,
located
between Webbers Falls and Porum,
in beautiful middle eastern Oklahoma.

EXPERIENCE (In a nutshell):
My “formal” education began at 13 by taking riding lessons, first with jumpers,
then later in Western disciplines. I became a certified CHA Master riding
instructor and a certified veterinary assistant, which led me to working in both
fields. Later on I completed the Connors State College Equine Technology
Horse Breaking/Training program in Warner, Oklahoma. This is an intensive
two year program of hands on colt breaking, training and advancing,
including various equine lab classes. I have also received my Associates of
Arts, and an Applied Associates of Science through this Equine program.
Sturgell's Equestrian Center is a
small family business.  We don't try
to keep up with the "Jones's," we
only keep up with our clients. They
ARE our business!

Please feel free to contact us with
any of your training questions or
needs!

Happy Trails!
We aim to please you!!
Our horses are loved just like our children...
or is it the other way around?!
HOW SECLLC CAME ABOUT:
WRITTEN BY SUZI STURGELL
All you need for happiness is a good gun, a good horse, and a good wife.
- Daniel Boone
My riding experiences through many years, includes Western Pleasure showing, gymkhanas,
jumping, barrel racing, goat tying, ranch work and miles and miles of back road, mountain trail
rides. I have worked on cattle ranches out west, at elite hunter/jumper stables, with a notable
barrel horse trainer, with a private school teaching horsemanship and riding, at summer camps
for riding, at CHA riding certification clinics,  with an under-privileged children's summer riding
program, with a veterinarian, a farrier, show facilities, and so much more I just can't list them all. I
have ALWAYS been busy in the horse industry in one way or another.

Over 30 years of horsemanship skills can and do speak for themselves! I can say with
confidence that I am very qualified to break, train and care for your horses!
Les is the real backbone of
Sturgell’s Equestrian Center,
LLC. He not only supports (my)
endeavors, he oversees all the
grounds, maintenance, projects
and improvements of our
facility. He is a tremendous help
in keeping us up and running.
With out him, there wouldn’t be
a SECLLC!
