"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the
renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and
acceptable, and perfect, will of God."
Romans 12:2
If you are here, it is because you are curious-- and that is good! God has a plan for his
creation, and it is GOOD and ACCEPTABLE and PERFECT, and it is the will of God for
us to follow it. God's perfect design didn't stop with the creation of Adam: He had an
entire plan for what would cause mankind to prosper, both physically and spiritually!
What "Adam" (now us) was to eat was a priority in God's mind when he created us-- He
told us and warned us in His Word, what would be a benefit to us, and what could end
up a curse.
My family is far from perfect! We struggle to stay on track daily, but when choosing what
meats we will raise for our family to eat, we draw the line: God's way, or no way. May this
introduction fill you with a curiosity to find out more, and a reason to pray for that
"wisdom and understanding" God said He'd provide when asked for.
We are not trying to be condemning or judgemental to anybody and their choices. Our knowledge was slow
to come to us, and full of consternation before we were convicted of its truth. I pray you read this with an
open mind, knowing that God's love abounds, and ours does too. Happy Revelations!
Key point: “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” Hosea 4:6

...A couple weeks after butchering one of our hogs, my husband and I attended a health fair. He had
opportunity to have his blood pressure checked, among other things, and though he was in his late 20's,
quite slim and fit, it was a shock to us to find that his blood pressure was high. Coincidence? I don't think
so, we were living basically on pork! Medical studies have found that a person's blood pressure can rise for
a time after eating pork... (besides other things). Is that natural? Again, I don't think so.......
Many people have this false assumption that God just doesn’t want His people to have fun, or enjoy
good foods. Not true! God’s stipulations are his truest form of love for us! He told all of us what to do in
order that we would enjoy life to the fullest. Think of it this way: Suppose you were freely given a classic
car so expensive and rare that it is the envy of everyone around. You would do all you can to take care
of it, from the inside to the outside. Just shining it up everyday is not going to keep it in top running
condition! You have to keep the best oil and gas in it, and spark plugs… you get the picture. So for all
these vital needs, are you going to just run to a “Dollar” store or use sub-standard products to put in it?
Are you going to fill it up with the cheap gas? How long do you think that exquisite engine will run
perfectly with that in it? How long will it remain in mint condition? Sure it may run, but for how long, and
is it at it's best?
God had the same thought when he created his people; his fearfully and wonderfully made people. He
told us what not to put in us, he told us what was right to put in us. WE are the ones who rejected his
directions because it is easier to ignore them, or because peer pressure keeps us from it, we don't
want to be different, or just because it is the way "Mommy did it." The scriptures say, to him that knows
to do good, and does it not, to him it is sin, James 4:17. That is a powerful, yet self-incriminating statement.
You are now on the road to “knowing,” are you able to do it? Because, like the car, WE are God's rare
and exquisite creation.
My family has now been going 15 years living the best we can on God’s design with foods. Oh, we're not
perfect—we have our weaknesses too! Our family craves sweets and salts like anyone else-- but we do
it all within reason and moderation. We stopped raising hogs years ago and we don’t shop for any
"unclean" meats! There are situations that make our lifestyle difficult, like our kids may have to eat what
is served them in their school lunches (ie, pork ridden hotdogs, etc), but they know the difference in
good and bad foods and don’t make it a habit to regularly pollute themselves.
Our farming practices over the past 26 years have improved tremendously. For one thing, we moved
from the mountains in WV, clear down to the flatlands/low swells of Eastern Oklahoma. We raise our own
meats in the form of the Miniature Herefords, Katahdin meat sheep, and free roam chickens and eggs.
We grow our own garden and do our own canning and freezing, and we hunt deer and butcher them
ourselves quite sufficiently. We only grow on our farm what is acceptable to God's plan now. We're not
telling you that this is what you need to do, but since you now have some understanding of it, you may
want to pray and consider it also.
God’s plan is for our betterment. I highly suggest that you read Dr. Rex Russel’s book "WHAT
THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT HEALTHY LIVING." It does not “preach” to you about anything. It is
simple facts that are both Biblically sound and scientifically proven—yes! Scientifically, for you die
hard skeptics!!
I invite you to click on the link below for a sample of what some of the scientific proof is! Be prepaired to
have your eyes opened also! No, we don’t need to perish for lack of knowledge, it is all written down for
us to read and understand.
Bon appetet!
